Larry Bailey called in to report that there were approximately equal numbers of Eagles to protestors. The rally was well-attended by both the Patriot Guard and Rolling Thunder, and the Eagles had bullhorns in their designated area. Bailey says a fantastic time was had by all.

Hundreds protest war in Iraq

GREENSBORO, NC -- Hundreds of protestors from all over North Carolina took the streets in downtown Greensboro to voice their opposition to the war in Iraq. It started with a march and ended with a nationally known activist speaking to the crowd.(Personal note: won't he be so PROUD of those beautiful little girls when they learn how to give the finger JUST LIKE DADDY?)
“My brother was a disabled American Vietnam vet and he died.. So it's kind of personal for me I don't want another family to go through what we did and watching him spend 30 years dying from the wounds that he emotionally received in Vietnam,” said protestor Renita Courts.
Organizers at the rally had a nationally known activist to help get their message across, Cindy Sheehan.
Those against Sheehan’s calls for the end of the war say, “I don't believe in what she is trying to say, Killing is not nice but it's either over there or here” said Dan Wyatt, an anti-protestor.
These counter protestors said they remember when radical protestors affected policy in the '60s. They said that's not something they want to see again.
Thanks to Yakfisher of Military Appreciation Day for the pictures found at photobucket .
Again, to Cindy Sheehan, I say you dishonor your son and his sacrifice for his country and for something he believed in. You should be ashamed of yourself.
Eagles, fly high, fly proud!
